Applications are invited for the following post: Grade VII – Project Officer, Registration, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland. The contract is an eighteen-month fixed term position, subject to successful completion of a 6 month probationary period. The Position. The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) is the regulatory authority for nurses and midwives in Ireland. The role of NMBI is the protection of the public in its dealing with nurses and midwives and the integrity of the practice of nursing and midwifery through the promotion of high standards of professional education, training and practice and professional conduct among nurses and midwives.   The NMBI requires a Project Officer to plan, coordinate, and deliver on the following key activities of a strategic nature which the NMBI is pursuing as part of its statement of strategy 2017 – 2019 and 2018 Service Plan. The purpose of this role is to assist and support the Director of Registration in the implementation of the Nurses and Midwives Act, 2011 by leading the development of change initiatives in the Registration Department.
