GlobalInventory Analyst - Co. Mayo. You will be responsible for analysing and making recommendations on global inventory levels and will work closely with the manufacturing plants and Replenishment Planners to understand and make judgement on the holding policies and procedures. Also responsible for co-ordinating with Strategic Sourcing to review and interpret the impact of vendor contracts on inventory. Responsibilities: Inventory Analysis- • Calculate and analyse global inventory values and Days on Hand as well as provide inventory projections. • Co-ordinate the review of Master Data in R/3 and APO as it relates to inventory. This will include collaboration with the Master Data Management Analysts, PPIAs, and Replenishment Planners. • Co-ordinate the review and analysis of the Strategic Sourcing contracts to identify any inventory impacts due to large minimum order quantities. Analyse this information to determine the trade-off of holding the extra inventory vs the price break on the purchase. • Define and implement policies and procedures related to Global Inventory Reserves, Inventory Disposition Orders, as well as product introductions and product discontinuations. Inventory Management- • Perform analyses to determine and address excess and obsolete inventory. Determine course of action for those items. • Implement and maintain statistical based safety stock functionality. • Evaluate and execute changes to the outbound replenishment plans to ensure inventory goals are maintained. • Manage the tracking of continuous improvement projects as it relates to the Corporate Strategic Initiative. S&OP Development- • Evaluate the replenishment forecasts and the impact on finished goods in all direct operations. • Evaluate and publish all reports relating to local Business Unit inventory, and local Business Unit days on hand. • Provide all inventory information related to the Sales & Operations Planning Process. • Assist in the development of the annual inventory plan. New Product Introductions- Identify critical path elements required for launch of new products globally. Define and advise on launch quantities per country to ensure minimum exposure for E&O. Project management- • Complete project tasks as assigned. • Attend project meetings. • Publish status of assigned tasks. Direct Operations- • Co-ordinate, communicate, and publish all inventory planning activities. • Report all risks and assumptions used to develop the inventory plan. • Manage the implementation of all inventory reducing policies and procedures. Information Technology Services - Continuously improve the process and methods used to develop the inventory plans. Plant Operations - Work with Plant Production and Materials Management staff to co-ordinate the development and implementation of inventory plans to resolve customer service issues as well as minimise Excess and Obsolete inventory levels. Assist PPIAs with the interpretation of the inventory targets and how master data affects these goals. Business Units- Communicate product availability issues and recommend product allocation when required. Interested applicants should have: • Minimum 1-2 years' experience working in Plant Operations. • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a supply chain planning environment. • At least 1 year's experience in Data warehousing. • At least 1-2 years' project management experience. Education Requirements: • BA, BS in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain. • APICS/Green Belt qualification desirable. Specialised Skills/Technical Knowledge sought: • Understanding of Master Production Scheduling and Materials Requirements Planning processes. • Understanding of inventory management practices.
