As a Senior Solution Architect within Digital Enterprise Systems Design you will work within a geographically dispersed global team, creating high level solution models and solution architectures for assigned projects aligned to business outcomes across the Centrica Group. You will be a technology consultant, guiding the various Centrica business units on how the capabilities of systems can be used to solve business problems. You will assure that solutions will technically deliver and meet the needs of both the Centrica business units and the IS strategy. You will contribute to the development of the Enterprise Target Architecture aligned to the business strategy and be the design authority on projects ensuring adherence to design standards and the Enterprise Target Architecture. You will have a solid experience of working with Oracle CC&B as part of an enterprise application stack, and have the desire to adopt new technologies and applications to widen your experience. Key Accountabilities. Planning. Responsible for prioritising and managing own workload, and others as required as part of a global distributed organisation. Contributes to the Target Architecture and definition and maintenance of standards. Supports the development of the project planning including ensuring the phases are appropriate. Financial Responsibilities. Supports the budget development process for a solution to maximise the business case leveraging investment across the Group to deliver maximum return on investment. Operational Responsibilities. Delivers high-level solution models and solution architectures in line with business requirements, organisation and industry standards across all Centrica business units. Ensures compliance of all high-level solution models and solution architectures to the Target Architecture, Enterprise roadmaps, architecture principles and standards. Assesses the impact of business change requests on the existing architecture and support the prioritisation of these changes. Provides direction and guidance on projects ensuring adherence to Architecture and Design standards and the Enterprise Target Architecture. Works with the project stakeholders to understand the business outcomes and strategy so that recommended solution options provide the best fit against requirements and budget. Supports the Business Analyst to determine high-level functional and non-functional requirements, maximising the use of standard or out-of-the-box features and capability. Creates solution options and solution architectures, ensuring any deviations to the standards are handled through appropriate governance processes. Be accountable for the viability of proposed solutions and provides direction, advice and guidance on the appropriate approach to the solution throughout the project. Performs the design authority role on projects ensuring that the detailed designs and solutions delivered align to the solution architecture, managing and resolving any design issues as they arise. Maintains awareness of the technology in use within the Group in order to ensure solutions leverage the capability of the estate. Identifies the commercial impacts of decisions involving architecture at a Group level and engage the appropriate people in coming to a sound commercial outcome. Stakeholders.
