Navan Hire, Hardware & DIY Centre, established in 1986 is a leading provider of hardware, DIY and the hire of plant and machinery in the North East. As a member of the Topline Group we are committed to expanding our business and meeting the needs of our customers. We are now recruiting a Marketing Executive , this role will be based on 2 sites , Navan and Trim. It is a varied role that includes planning, advertising, public relations, event organisation, product development, distribution, sponsorship and research. The work is often challenging and fast-paced. Duties include: 1. Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations. 2. Communicating with target audiences and managing customer relationships. 3. Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press - local, regional, and specialist publications. 4. Managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters and DVDs. 5. Writing and proofreading copy. 6. Liaising with designers and printers. 7. Organising photo shoots. 8. Arranging the effective distribution of marketing materials. 9. Maintaining and updating customer databases. 10. Organising and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions. 11. Sourcing and securing sponsorship. 12. Conducting market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups. 13. Contributing to, and developing, marketing plans and strategies. 14. Managing budgets. 15. Evaluating marketing campaigns. 16. Monitoring competitor activity. 17. Supporting directors / managers and other colleagues. 19. Maintain key business supplier relationships, develop timelines with key milestones, and monitor execution. 20. Must work effectively with and for others to achieve company goals. 21. Maintaining company quality standards. 22. Maintaining and managing the company’s social media presence. 23. Devising ways for the company to be involved in the community. Requirements. • 2-3 years’ experience working in a busy marketing position. • Good skill set in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator. • highly motivated with excellent administration and organisational skills. • Have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Additional information. • 40 hour working week 9am – 6 pm. • Would be a requirement to work on a Saturday ad hocly for Trade Shows / Open days etc. . . . In this instance a day off during the week would be arranged in advance.
