Business Development Manager – CItric Cube. The Leading Edge Group is an innovative consulting, training and technology company with its headquarters in Cobh, County Cork. CItric Cube is an exciting new SAAS solution that helps businesses manage their Continuous Improvement (CI) activities and teams. We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Business Development Manager who will lead the way in introducing this revolutionary product to our current marketplace in Ireland, Canada and Australia. This role will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities and negotiate and close business deals. They will work with the CItric Cube Operations Manager, Marketing Manager, External Development Company and Leading Edge Group senior managers in Ireland and Canada to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenues for CItric Cube. To achieve this, they will need to harvest the existing Leading Edge Group client base; find new customers and convert them into long term clients whilst continuing to grow the business into the future. Job Description. The primary role of the Business Development Manager of CItric Cube is to sell i.e. harvest existing contacts and prospect for new clients by networking, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company. They must develop a rapport with clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. Strategic planning is a key part of this job description, since it is the manager’s responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming into CItric Cube. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide and of the company’s competitors. Whilst the exact responsibilities will vary, the main duties of the Business Development Manager can be summarized as follows: Business Development. Design a sales process for Citric Cube. Harvest existing Leading Edge Group clients to purchase Citric Cube. Identify Partnering agreements with National Associations. Maintain pipeline metrics/funnel on CRM system, Pipe Drive. Prospect for new clients and turn this into increased business. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network. Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization. Research and build relationships with new clients. Plan approaches and pitches. Work with the Operations Manager to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately. Client Retention. Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships. Work with all staff to meet customer needs. Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs. Business Development Planning. Manage and measure Developers performance and support on a monthly basis. Identify opportunities for campaigns, services in conjunction with Marketing Manager that will lead to increased awareness and sales. Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators. Management and Research. Submit monthly progress reports. Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within Pipe Drive. Forecast sales targets and measure against actual performance. Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets. Present business development training on CItric Cube to internal Leading Edge Group staff and consultants. Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities. Education. The position will require at a minimum a bachelor’s degree with 4-5 years sales or business development experience specifically in SAAS or business services. International travel is a pre-requisite.
