This organisation comprises of two Hospices both providing specialist palliative care to both cancer and non-cancer patients (motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s, end stage cardiac failure, dementia patients to name but a few. Our client currently employs 215 staff which equates to 170 WTE. In addition to this we have over 750 volunteers. Director of nursing is required for a new state-of-the-art facility in Goldsworth Park, Woking. **Staff Benefits on offer. Salary : circa £60,000 - £70,000 pa. Closing date : 4th June. Qualification: Criteria: Clinical qualification to degree level or equivalent. Evidence of continuing professional development. Leadership / management qualifications. Desirable: Advances communication skills training. Teaching qualification. Higher degree or working towards(clinical/management. Experience: Essential: Extensive management and leadership experience at a senior clinical level. Experience of strategic planning and business planning. Experience of working towards Care Quality Commission frameworks. Experience of working in a palliative care setting or a setting which meets the needs of those with palliative care needs. High level of decision making. Implementing corporate developments. Managing Change. Multi-disciplinary team working. Working knowledge of key regional and national initiatives impacting on palliative care delivery.
