You are a passionate and ambitious analyst with at least two years’ experience in an environmental laboratory, preferably with some supervisory experience. Experience & Qualifications. A degree in Analytical chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or other related qualification is required. Experience in UV-VIS, pH, conductivity, wet chemistry testing, ICP/MS, IC, TOC/TN, BOD, acid microwave assisted digestion. Experience in an ISO17025 accredited environmental laboratory is a definite advantage. Duties and Responsibilities. Performing analytical testing or preparative activities on samples as per test schedule in compliance with ELS internal procedures. Assist the Laboratory Manager in achieving company goals. To participate in all relevant training to ensure personal plan is up to date. Take responsibility for issues as they arise and elevating them where necessary. Timely close out of deviations and/or investigation. To identify and make recommendations for improvements as part of a team. Providing analytical support to testing validations. Performing equipment calibration as required. Participating and demonstrating competency in proficiency testing schemes. My client is the leading independent water testing laboratory in Ireland.
