Summer Camp Leaders 2018. We are looking for upbeat and enthusiastic individuals to join our team of leaders at Summer camps nationwide in 2018. As a Summer camp leader, you will guide children through a range of fun activities from STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Maths. Full training will be provided. Check out the pictures above for examples of what kids get up to at Designer Minds camps! Job Requirements: • Experience in education/working with children is a huge advantage. A background in science, engineering or technology also advantageous. Full training provided. • Excellent communication skills. Being capable of maintaining excellent relationships with children and parents with a friendly and sociable attitude. Being capable of communicating with head office in an efficient and professional manner. • The ability to maintain discipline and ensure the safety of all children. • Leaders must be available from July 2nd to August 17th, 2018. We do not accept applications from those who are not available for the full 7 weeks. • Willing to travel. Leaders will work from Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm daily. The location will change each week. Leaders need to have their own mode of transport and be willing to travel to a different town each week. Estimated travel time is an average of 30m drive to work each day. • The ability to transport, store and carry many boxes of Designer Minds kit each week and be responsible for maintaining/charging supplies when needed. • Car insurance for transporting goods to work is required. • It is essential to be an excellent timekeeper and reliable. • Summer camp leaders work in groups of 2 -3. • First aid training and manual handling certificate an advantage. • Must be willing to be Garda vetted. • Excellent weekly rate. Travel costs are your own. Ideal candidates will be based out of the following areas: Galway, Waterford, Laois, Kerry, Limerick, Cork, North Kildare/South Meath. Howerver, applicants considered from all areas if willing to travel. • There will also be opportunities for some leaders to remain with Designer Minds and deliver our workshops, parties and after school clubs all year round.
