This opportunity is for a Head of Marketing to work with a hugely successful Irish business that has been around for over 100 years. They operate in the retail and food service sectors and this role would see the successful candidate manage a team of marketers who manage both channels. The Position. Be responsible for the day-to-day management of marketing team which comprises of a total 5 people. Deliver best marketing practice in each of the sales channels in conjunction with the sales managers. Support brand development by ensuring compliance, protection and development of the brand throughout all activities. Hold ultimate responsibility for delivering the agreed marketing budget. Control marketing spends and evaluate the effectiveness of same. Develop and ensure delivery of the foodservice brand activation plan on time, in-line with expectations and within budget. Create and manage a Consumer Communications program for the branded portfolio. In line with divisional KPI, develop and manage the implementation of a social media and digital strategy. Develop strong interaction with key clients, sales team, outside agencies and peer executives. Develop and execute all trade communication and incentive campaign (promotions, trade advertising and trade PR function). Develop comprehensive macro communications policy for the business and execute. Working closely with the Retail sales team, ensure that the retail offering is optimised and in line with our brand objectives. Create an environment where all team members participate in and are empowered to achieve their potential. The Person. Must be highly aware of own impact and what drives and motivates others. Must have 7-10 years' experience in senior marketing positions ideally within FMCG and/or Food service. Must have previous experience in managing teams.
