The role of the safefood Co-ordinator is critical to the functioning of the all-island food safety professional Knowledge Network and represents an exciting opportunity for a talented individual. This post is available until 4 February 2021 to support the activities of this member-based network and be responsible for the coordination, and planning, delivery and promotion of activities associated with running this human network; ensuring that their overall objectives are met; playing an active role as a member of the Food Science team within safefood, and especially contributing to the wider activities of the Directorate in its effort to promote food safety to small food producers. The post holder will be employed by Queen’s University Belfast, but will be seconded full-time to safefood at its headquarters in Co Cork but the work plan will include some travel across Ireland. The successful candidate must have: A levels or equivalent in Marketing/Communications/Business Studies/Science or a related subject. 3 years’ recent relevant administrative experience in a similar role. Experience of supporting customers/clients. Experience in developing marketing and communication programmes. Experience of organising meetings and minute taking.
