Job Title: Territory Manager Munster Region. Reports to: Sales & Operations Manager, MPS. Job Purpose: In this commercial sales role you will be responsible for delivering quarterly and annual territory targets for promoted products within BD MPS by understanding the needs of our customers and positioning BD’s solution to meet those needs in a profitable manner. The product portfolio includes peripheral vascular access devices, prefilled syringes, and hypodermic products (needles, syringes safety needles. Key areas of focus within the hospital environment will be Theatres, ITU, Wards, A& E and Procurement. Responsibilities: Deliver quarterly and annual territory targets in line with national budget expectations for the financial year. Focus on sustainable sales growth for territory and region by understanding and working within revenue expectations guidelines. Understand customer goals & drivers to build strong and mutually beneficial relationships, positioning BD as the partner of choice. Proactively develop and implement territory plans for sustainable, long term sales success. Review and alter this plan in line with BD MPS strategy & direction. Follow account management plan by area growth, to focus on top 5 accounts. Effectively manage account priorities to position, sell & implement BD Added Value Services, where this offering will maximise sales opportunity. Effective delivery of BD Value Add Programmes (training & education. Conduct and manage product trials & in-service process as part of account conversion, with support from Clinical Consultants (CC’s) where appropriate. Work effectively with the Sales & Operations Manager, Clinical, & Marketing team to maximise business potential. Achieves standards, expectations and performance as agreed with manager. Communication of market and competitor information. Contribute to compelling business case development with Sales & Operations Manager and the Business Operations Team. Develop efficient and effective call planning to maximize use of time. Effectively use agreed business reporting tools and comply with expected standards (PIR process, Opportunity Management, Account selection tools, CRM compliance, Diary Management, BD Sales methodology etc. To represent BD in a professional manner on all occasions. To take ownership of local customer complaints and queries, ensuring they are handled in a timely and professional manner. Where appropriate forward customer enquiries to other BD Divisions. To attend meetings, conferences, and exhibitions to promote both BD company image and selected range of products. To build business relationships with relevant key opinion leader. Educational Requirements: A certificate/degree in a relevant discipline. Relevant Experience: Understanding of sales data – skills to interpret sales trends, handle collection, collation and use of data to assist in account and territory analysis/planning. Can quickly assimilate complex information and present ideas in a simple effective way. Competency in PC Skills – use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and specified BD software. An ability to identify business opportunities in relation to growth and retention strategies. Ability to work autonomously, and be capable of independently generating, prioritising and handling own work. Adapts business style to build effective customer rapport and relationships. Takes a positive team player approach (colleagues, commercial partners, etc. Has ideally completed selling skills training course and has an ability to practically demonstrate products and their application. Communication skills – verbal and non-verbal to a high standard. Organisation skills – use of resource in order to maximise return on sales time and materials. Negotiation and influencing skills – i.e. communication, listening, persuasion. Exhibits good decision making skills and sound judgement. Proven track record in sales. Driven.
