This role reports to the Director of Innovation and Healthcare and will work in a team environment together with colleagues from the industry engagement, membership, marketing and technical teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for building on the current awareness of GS1 standards within Healthcare and to actively support current and new implementations of GS1 standards across the membership i.e. public and private hospitals, the HSE and industry members. The successful candidate will be required to support the development and delivery of briefings for our members in meetings, workshops and in online environments. This role requires a background in healthcare, ideally clinical or at minimum an understanding of clinical care in the Irish setting. The role has a technical aspect and the successful applicant must have an aptitude to understand technical language and solutions and translate that into a language that is understood by the hospital or GS1 member. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Increase the use of GS1 standards (GTIN, NPC, EDI, Traceability etc.) in Irish healthcare with a focus on hospital implementations, national HSE programmes and industry compliance to regulations, by building trusted relationships with these key stakeholders; Develop a clear understanding of the key challenges and needs of our healthcare members in order to design suitable implementation plans that meet their needs and are standardsbased; Liaise with the technical GS1 teams to gain an understanding of how the standards are implemented and to ensure they are implemented correctly; Develop and maintain briefing documents, marketing collateral and communications to support events, member engagement and the sharing of best practice cases in conjunction with solution providers where relevant; Work jointly with other functions to ensure that GS1 Ireland’s activities continue to be appropriately funded through increased membership, programme sponsorship and/or service provision. Education / Experience: Graduate degree required. Postgraduate/Masters qualification in a related area is an advantage; At least 2-5 years’ experience in a business-related and/or consulting role in Healthcare, or other relevant industry sector with proven experience in project management; Knowledge of GS1 standards and their application in healthcare or knowledge of use of standards in similar standards organisations; Specific experience of traceability, supply chain management, scanning (Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC)) technologies is desirable; Fluency in English, oral and written is mandatory. Travel Requirements: This role is office-based in Dublin but may require travel within Ireland and occasionally within Europe.
